O’ Hara’s Amber Adventure is our newest brew of 2014, available on draught from 1st of March. Brewed with the body of an American Amber Ale, and hopped and dry hopped with four different New Zealand varieties, the result is a satisfying and sessionable amber ale bursting with southern hemisphere hop aroma.
This ale is bright amber in colour with a lightly carbonated head. Brewed exclusively with New Zealand hops, including Pacific Gem and Moteuka in the kettle. O’Hara’s Amber Adventure is later dry hopped after fermentation with another New Zealand hop combination including Moteuka giving a cornucopia of citrus, floral and pine needle aromas.
As big on hop flavour as it is in malt tones, the combination of malts including Vienna, Amber and Crystal, give toasty biscuit flavours balanced by zesty and evergreen notes from the hop oils.
Weighing in at 50 IBU’s, the bitterness is full, long and lasting, accentuated by the addition of a small amount of amber malt. This beer will pair brilliantly with seafood and poultry oven dishes
