At Carlow Brewing Company we embrace a progressive, eco-driven brewing process, that in turn gives our customers the choice to make a difference when selecting their beer. Our employees actively promote the natural ingredients and hand crafted ethos behind all of our beers and we take our position as a p[rovider of a sustainable working craft brewery evry seriously.
Not only is it important inside the brewery to promote a sustainable future but it is equally important that as a cornerstone of craft brewing in Carlow we also support the local community that through various initiatives and our young, talented workforce.
We have recently been awarded Origin Green certification form An Bord Bia, Ireland’s Food Board. Origin Green certification is given to food & drink producers in Ireland that operate in an environmentally conscious way, and set ambitious targets for reducing their environmental impact. We are very proud to be a part of Origin Green, as it reflects the fact that environmental issues are a core value of the company.
Some of the key commitments we have made for the next 3 years include
- Increase amount of Raw Material from Irish sources
- Reducing electricity usage year on year
- Reducing Water usage year on year
- Increasing sponsorship to local charities and initiatives year on year.
- Supporting our workforce with training and health initiatives.
