Here at the Carlow Brewing Company our brewers haven’t just been busy concocting your next favourite beers. Some of them have also been out stretching their legs and personally bringing you the best of what we have to offer.
Recently one of our brewers, Conor, attended an aptly titled “Meet the Brewer” night in Against the Grain on Dublin’s Wexford Street. Attended by around 50 Craft Beer enthusiasts, the night was a big hit namely for our wholesome O’Hara’s Leann Folláin Stout which was voted Best Beer on the night and paired with cask strength Red Breast 12 year old whiskey.
In other beer based bulletins, Paul from our Sales team coordinated a selection of our beers to be paired with a 5-course dinner held in Ashbourne, where yet again our Leann Folláin was the stand out performer for all the guests.
All this as well as being awarded Fan Favourite at this year’s Irish Craft Beer and Cider Festival in the RDS. I bet your wondering why you’re not on your way to get some right now…

Not to be out done, Leann Folláin’s mature big brother, O’Hara’s Barrel-Aged Series Leann Folláin has also been busy as of late. Sibling rivalry seems to bring out the best in these beers as it also picked up the Platinum Medal at the Concours MBiere Pierre Celis during the Mondial de la Biere Festival in France.
