This cold snap has us in the mood for some real comfort food, and this recipe for Beer-Braised Beef with Onion, Carrot, and Turnips with our Leann Folláin Stout, is a winner every time!
- Coat 1 pound of diced striploin beef in flour and sprinkle of salt and pepper.
- Brown in a little oil on a hot pan.
- Add a cup of beef stock, 4 garlic cloves, 1 bay leaf, and a bottle of our Leann Folláin Stout, bring to the boil and cook for an hour and a half. Nearly there….
- Add chopped carrots, potato, turnip and an onion and cook for another half hour. Serve with crusty bread and fresh parsley.
Now sit back and enjoy some serious Man Grub and with it being so close to the weekend why not treat yourself to that other bottle of Leann Folláin to accompany the food!
