Irish Whiskey & beer Festival 2015

Now that the dust has settled and we have had a few nights of much needed sleep, it is time to look back on what was a fantastic St Patrick’s week at the 4^th Irish Beer & Whiskey Festival. Held at the RDS, this event has grown in attendance and stature to become a mainstay on the food and drinks calendar in Ireland! The very spacious Hall 1 was filled with over 30 Breweries to deliver the best of Beer, Cider and Whiskey to an international crowd. With not only a focus on drink, the festival is just as much a celebration of everything Irish and affords festival goers the opportunity to sample great Artisan food and listen to a great mix of Irish Music.

We pushed the boat out a little ourselves this year and decided to create an enchanting bar area where people could not just pop up and sample, but could also relax and interact with our staff. It all added to a first class atmosphere at the venue and one that gave us an opportunity to listen and engage directly with the crowd. Armed with 16 taps of Irish Craft Beverages, it was great to welcome people over to our bar and direct them through our diverse offering. It is here where you can listen to people’s own views and also show them some of our new offerings. It is especially satisfying when someone who has not heard of our beer goes to taste then looks up with that certain expression on their face which tells us ‘yes’ this is a great beer!

We must give a shout out to the organisers who did a super job, making sure the room looked great and everything ran smoothly, which over a 5 day period is no mean feat. Some of the highlights aside from the unbelievable beers on show were and superb mix of musicians who got the crowd going. Eamonn O’Brien, Ragamuffin and Rapscallion in particular were highlights from a strong music offering hopefully who will all return to the next one.

So thanks to every one of the 10,000+ crowd who showed up over the week, it was great fun and we are already looking forward to the return later this year.
